UGANDA

Situated in Equatorial Africa and with an approximate population of 28.2 million people, Uganda is similar in area to the size of Great Britain.  It is a country with a troubled past but it also a country with renewed hope.  Onside Soccer partners with two churches in Kampala, the capital city.

Luteete Full Gospel Church

Situated on the outskirts of Kampala, Luteete Full Gospel Church was founded in 1991 and is led by Pastor Joseph Lukwago.  With 150 members, the church runs a number of ministries and plays a key role in the local community.  The Church constructed the only christian school in the villagewhich has four rooms, two of which are complete and two of which are currently under construction.  The Church is also involved in setting up local people in small business, investing in skills in the community to give people jobs in an area where paid employment is rare.

 

 

 

Gospel Tabernacle, Kazo

The Gospel Tabernacle, led by Pastors Joshua and Annette Kirabira, is located in Kazo, one of the most densely populated areas of Kampala.  The church was founded in 2003 and has grown rapidly, with a membership of over 300.
